Pressure vessel analysis plays a pivotal role in a multitude of design projects across diverse regions, each governed by its own distinct set of rigorous standards and regulations. Compliance with these requirements is of utmost importance.

To address the diverse needs of such design projects, Hexagon offers a comprehensive solution known as PV Elite. It’s specifically tailored for the meticulous analysis of pressure vessels and heat exchangers while also adhering to internationally recognized design codes and the most stringent standards. PV Elite empowers professionals to navigate the intricacies of pressure vessel analysis with confidence and finesse.

For organizations needing to handle flange data, including bolting and gaskets, it is essential to use a solution that incorporates the latest updates to EN codes. Special attention must also be given to the flanges on nozzle connections and proper care is required to prevent any leakage of fluids.

In this webinar, we will focus on EN 13445-3 Annex G and EN 1591-1, along with the specific flange types, dimensional data and material data required by these design codes/standards.

We will also explain the various input fields and provide additional tips and tricks that you may not be aware of. This includes:

  • How to use the PV Elite interface to input flange data, including bolting and gaskets.
  • A quick look at flange types and dimensional data expected by these design codes.
  • Show how to obtain EN 13445-3 Annex G and/or EN 1591-1:2001 analysis results.
  • Explain the advantages that this method has compared to the standard Taylor Forge method.
